CHANCEFORD TOWNSHIP, Pa. —
Authorities have launched an investigation into a fatal crash that occurred Sunday evening in York County.
Emergency dispatchers reported that the incident happened shortly after 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of Delta Road (Route 74) and Bacon Road in Chanceford Township. Initial reports indicated that at least one person was trapped following the collision, prompting a heavy emergency response from local fire, EMS, and law enforcement agencies.
The York County Coroner’s Office was called to the scene to confirm a fatality. As of now, officials have not released the identity of the victim, pending family notification.
Details regarding how many vehicles were involved or the total number of injured occupants remain unclear as the investigation continues.
Delta Road was shut down for several hours as crews cleared the scene and documented evidence. The roadway has since been reopened to the public.
The Pennsylvania State Police is leading the investigation and is expected to release further information as it becomes available.
