POMONA, Calif. — A 13-year-old girl has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a 16-year-old boy at an apartment complex in Pomona over the weekend, authorities said.
Police were called at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Sunday to a residential complex on East Pasadena Avenue, located east of North East End Avenue and north of East Holt Avenue in eastern Los Angeles County. When officers arrived, they found a 16-year-old boy suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 13-year-old girl was taken into custody at the location and later transported to juvenile hall, according to Pomona police.
Investigation Ongoing
Authorities have not released details about what led to the shooting, and the circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation.
